Data deletion

This page explains how to request the deletion of your personal data from BarbSnap. It complies with Meta's requirements for apps that use the WhatsApp Business API and with applicable data-protection regulations.

Three types of request

1. You are the owner / staff of a barbershop that uses BarbSnap

You can delete your account directly from the dashboard: Settings → Account → Delete account. This:

2. You are an end customer of a barbershop and were contacted via WhatsApp / BarbSnap

Your data (name, phone, appointment history, messages) is under the control of the barbershop that served you. The fastest option:

You can also simply write "unsubscribe" or "STOP" in any WhatsApp conversation with the barbershop to stop receiving automated messages.

3. WhatsApp-specific request (required by Meta)

To delete only the data associated with your WhatsApp number (messages, conversation identifier) without touching the rest of your information, use the form and choose "WhatsApp data only".

Request form

Any request submitted through this form is handled within a maximum of 30 calendar days. We confirm by email when it's done, with a tracking code.

If Meta requires a programmatic "Data Deletion Request" endpoint for our WhatsApp app, we expose it at:

https://barbsnap.com/api/data-deletion

The endpoint accepts Meta's signed callback and returns a tracking code + verification URL, per the official spec.

If you prefer not to use the form: privacy@barbsnap.com. Put "Deletion request" in the subject and, in the body: the phone number or email to delete, and whether it's a full deletion or WhatsApp-only.
